Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine is a healing art that uses a specific therapeutic order to address an illness at its roots and avoid side effects, further damage, or progression of disease whenever possible.  First, we identify and remove any causes of disease or obstacles to cure, then we establish a healthy regimen. This typically involves an evaluation on current lifestyle patterns and habits and invites healthy changes around diet, sleep, physical activity, and stress management/mindfulness.  Sometimes this is enough for the body to heal. Often it is necessary to use the various modalities in our natural medicine toolkits to stimulate the self healing mechanisms and support weakened or damaged systems of the body. These modalities include homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutrient supplementation, and physical bodywork amongst others. Only when necessary are less gentle medicines like pharmaceuticals used.  At Aluna, we strive to keep you as natural and in harmony with nature as can be.
